Romelu Lukaku has hailed Timo Werner as the key player in Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa.

The Belgian national team star scored two goals in this game. The third goal came in injury time after receiving the ball from Cesar Azpilicueta. And pull the trigger into the beautiful net as the final goal in the game at Stamford Bridge.

However, Lukaku was highly credited with the goal. By praising Werner’s sprint that helped pull the defender and give himself enough time to catch the ball before hitting the net.

“The coach asked before the game to go forward as quickly as possible when we got the ball,” Lukaku told Chelsea TV.

“Kova is a quality player. We have a lot of players in midfield who will pass the ball forward. Today he gave me a great pass and I think passing the ball got the goal. I’m really happy.”

“I think I give a lot of credit to Timo because Timo has made a lot of space for me. As soon as he created the space to run across the defensive line, I had time. Hold the ball still and pull the trigger.”
